The Yamaha YZF-R6 is a lightweight sportbike that delivers a level of performance and handling that will leave its rider grinning from ear to ear. Yamaha’s goal has always been to offer the most rider-focused bikes. Bikes that are easy to ride yet sophisticated enough to allow even an inexperienced rider the thrill of riding beyond their limits.
Yamaha’s R-Spec race bike sets the bar for excellence in competition. And that’s what we aimed for with the YZF-R6. And started in 2019, the YZF-R6 will once again be available in two versions: The R-Spec will be an extra special track model with lightweight forged aluminium wheels and race-spec suspension settings. And the standard YZF-R6 will have a lowered seat height for easier access to the tank-mounted fuel pump and easier cornering at slow speeds.
